Grandmas in India!

Look who flew 9,000 miles to see their grandchildren in India! We were so happy to have visitors! Thanks, Grandma Carol and Grandma Barb! My sister Katrina also came to visit us in India, overlapping with the Moms' trip. The kids had a fantastic time showing their grandmothers and aunt our home and life in India, and the things they've learned over the past 6 months.

We had a great visit with our mothers (grandmothers), and these pictures were taken a few hours before their departure from Bangalore. More pictures from our trip to Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur can be found on www.ellaanne.com.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you all!

Here are the kids all decked out in the Indian clothes that we purchased for Christmas (all but Zach, his is a new different one).

For Easter we went out for a nice brunch at the Taj West End, which is about an hour away from Palm Meadows (as is everything in Bangalore!). There were many other expats, most from the Target group, and mostly Minnesotans too! It was a nice afternoon of great food (think oysters, octopus, GREAT cheese, champagne, yummy desserts, and more), great friends, and great fun and friends and green space for the kids too!

Yes, we are still alive

So it's been almost 3 months since the last blog post. By now you are probably wondering if we ate some bad curry, trampled by an elephant, crushed by a boulder, or run over by a rickshaw!

Over the next couple days, I'll try to bring everyone up to date with the adventure over here.

First, let's get through Christmas. You can see our lovely norfolk pine Christmas tree. About 4 feet high with lights that can pulse and flash along the music.

A 5 star hotel in Bangalore, the Oberoi, sells gingerbread houses. Our kids were rather happy to pluck off the decorations, so the house spent much of pre-Christmas up high. It lasted about 30 seconds when we brought it back down !

We also went shopping for some Indian clothes. Heather now has 1 saree. Anyone surprised by the color?
